- Youth Education -
A solid school and vocational training is very important to us. It is an opportunity for a better future and thus a way out of poverty. We want to enable sustainable training that corresponds to the skills of young people. The young people are supported in their choice of school and career by our local partner organization and with the help of a local career advice company. We not only focus on academic training, but also on practical teaching and further training. It is our goal that the people we support can lead an independent and carefree life in the future.

- widows and single mothers -
Jiri is a remote mountainous region at the foot of the Himalayas, 188 kilometers east of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Our long-standing widow project with currently six widows is located in Jiri. We also support widows and single mothers in the Kathmandu area. They receive a contribution to their livelihood and to the school fees of the children. Wherever possible, the women receive education and training so that they can earn their own living in the future. The aim is for them to become independent of outside help. To this end, we work together with local institutions that offer such training.

Ramila with one of her daughters*
Ramila grew up as an orphan with relatives. At the age of 22 she came to Rosemarie Luzi in the Jiri women's handicraft project. She was both technically and socially gifted and, as a single mother, lovingly looked after the widows of the project. Today, their three children are all grown up and thanks to support from Switzerland, they have been able to get a good education. Ramila* works as a voluntary counselor for women in the local hospital.

- medical assistance -
It is important to us to support people in their health and to offer support where necessary. We can realize this with local partners who run medical camps.
Furthermore, we would like to specifically support people in emergency situations with medical help who have no financial means to be treated.
- Stories -
We would be very happy to inform you soon about our first stories from the Medical Camps and about the needy people we were able to provide with medical help.
