Founding Story & Organization Identity
Established in 2019 in Lalitpur, Nepal, Improving Lives in Nepal (ILIN) was founded on the fundamental conviction that every individual—regardless of geographic isolation, social background, or economic status—deserves equal access to dignified healthcare, quality education, and sustainable economic self-reliance.
Operating as an officially registered Profit Non-Distributing Company (Registration No. 216511/75/076), 100% of our resources and donor funds are channeled directly into on-the-ground interventions for children, youth, women, and remote families across Nepal.

ILIN believes in a practical, community-based and people-centered approach. Rather than focusing on a single sector, we address interconnected needs through education, healthcare, women’s empowerment and livelihood support. We prioritize people who are often left behind and work closely with local communities, schools, health institutions and partners to create meaningful, enduring change.
The Challenges We Overcome
Many children, young people and families in disadvantaged communities face limited access to quality education, healthcare and livelihood opportunities. Women often have fewer opportunities to develop skills and become economically independent. ILIN works to reduce these inequalities and create opportunities for a healthier, educated and more self-reliant community across Nepal.
